Sue's exhibition showcases her fabulous and distinctive 'bonader' Swedish style folk art, painted with homemade egg tempera on linen or canvas. The word "Bonader" means decorative wall hanging and these traditional paintings were common in rural southern Sweden in the late 1700's to brighten up the dark, smoky interiors of the small farmhouses around Christmas and winter festivals. The 2012 Paralympics have been an amazing inspiration to us all withTeam GB achieving an impressive number of medals, exceeding their target of 103. Highlights for us have been Hannah Cockcroft powering her way to double Gold in the 100m and 200m T34 wheelchair sprints, Ellie Simmonds who was fifth in the swimming medly before the last turn, then swam the final length like a torpedo to finish way in front, setting a world record and achieving a well earned Gold medal.
