Rose Hip, our traditional bow top gypsy caravan is a perfect romantic hideaway just for two, set in a secluded area of the farmyard with stunning views

Enjoy the rolling hills of the picturesque Peak District, whilst relaxing in your cosy caravan with stunning views over the farm fields. It’s a truly peaceful place where you can totally unwind and reconnect with the important things in life.

Despite being around 100 years old, Rose Hip has been completely renovated with a few extra contemporary comforts, to bring it to the 21st century!

Enjoy a truly romantic short break with a difference in a bow top gypsy caravan. We have kept the exterior of our vintage caravan a traditional deep burgundy red with highlights in bright contrasting colours, which looks amazing against the green canvas horseshoe shaped roof.

Take a step through the zipped canvas door, to discover the curved ceiling inside is covered in beautiful fabric with pretty roses.

Rose Hip Gypsy Caravan

Our hearts ruled our heads when we bought our traditional horse-drawn gypsy caravan at a local farm sale! We were delighted to find another gorgeous glamping space for you to enjoy - a rare romantic hideaway just for two.

A Perfect Haven

Situated in a secluded area of the farmyard with trees screening you from prying eyes, yet with unbroken views down the valley from the “open lock” Romany wagon, you’ll love the view! (open lock refers to the entrance which has a tent style zipped canvas door that can be removed completely in a few seconds)

Spend the Evening round the Firepit

There’s nothing quite like sitting round a firepit as night draws in, watching the flickering flames and cooking your own meals. But don’t worry, if it’s wet and windy you can boil the kettle or use the microwave in the farmyard kitchenette, located close to our old-fashioned gypsy caravan.

Everything you need for a relaxing stay...

  • Welcome pack including milk, home-baked biscuits and bread
  • Bed linen, bath towels and bath mat
  • Crockery, cutlery, tea pot, wine glasses, corkscrew
  • Pots, pans, tongs and oven gloves for outdoor cooking
  • Washing up liquid, dishcloth and tea towels
  • Microwave, toaster and kettle in the farmyard
  • Firepit starter kit: matches, eco firelighters, kindling and logs
  • Torch and binoculars
  • OS Map OL24 Peak District White Peak area
  • Small shop in the farmyard selling basic supplies such as milk, bacon,
    sausages, ice cream and gifts
