Why not take life in the slow lane? Whilst you're staying at Hoe Grange, one of the best ways to take advantage of our beautiful local countryside is to explore by bike.
The Peak District offers some fabulous circular cycle routes with varied riding terrain, many of which are practically on our farm's doorstep! There are bike rides for all ages and abilities, so you can enjoy the spectacular views of the countryside as you pedal along.
If you want a leisurely family friendly bike ride you can avoid the main roads and steep hills by choosing one of the many easy-going trails. For the more adventurous hard-core cyclists there are some fantastic iconic road routes and some challenging off-road tracks.
If you would like to try out some of these cycling routes in the Peak District but are unable to bring your own bikes along, then don't worry. At Hoe Grange, we have two adult mountain bikes available to loan or for a fun trip out for two, hire our vintage tandem!
If you require something a bit more specialised we have now teamed up with MTB&B who hire out full suspension, hardtail and electric mountain bikes with free delivery to your log cabin at Hoe Grange. Even if you have your own bike this is a great way to try a real hardcore piece of kit!
Simply reserve online or give mark a call on 01663 735484 or 07800 900686.
At Hoe Grange we have two Boma 7 off-road wheelchairs for hire so everyone can join in the fun! The Boma is ideal as it goes up to 8 mile per hour so those with limited mobility can keep up with other cyclists.
Inclusive cycle hire is also now available at Carsington Water including the Velo plus wheelchair transporter and the Fun 2 Go Cycle for two people, or Parsley Hay Cycle Hire also have a wide range of wheelchair and non-wheelchair accessible cycling options, including hand-cranked bikes and trikes.
