So if the Indians get to close or tea is ready, you can be down on the ground in seconds, and with the wooden tractor on hand you can make a quick get away. But the children are not the only ones playing this week. Our Gloucester Old spot piggys Pinky, Perky, Pepper and Pumba have been exploring the great outdoors and having great fun rooting around in the grass...

Guest Ann, who brought her own horse on holiday, decided to buy him for her granddaughter. Robbie is not just cheeky but a clever little feller too, and always has an eye on how to escape for a mini adventure. He was spotted by guests one day recycling the rubbish - he had obviously heard of our eco policy! Robbie had escaped out of the paddock and proceeded to raid the rubbish bin. It was the fourth year we have hosted the walk as part of the Visit Peak District & Derbyshire Walking Festival, and it proved as popular as ever with 30 guests setting off over the farm fields. This year we have been selected from a hotly contested field of candidates in the 'Sustainable Tourism' category. We have been invited to attend the Gala Presentation evening at the Athena, in Leicester on 22nd May, when we will find out whether we have won Gold, Silver, Bronze or Highly Commended.
