Get Here sung by Chelsea Redfern The red carpet film premier was held in the private theatre at the magnificent Chatsworth House. An inspiring room with a beautifully painted ceiling, for the launch of an inspiring film showcasing all that our amazing Peak District has to offer. The emotive soundtrack was recorded by Lady Manners School Orchestra with the hugely talented singer Chelsea Redfern, of X Factor fame. Wow, what a powerful voice, it sent a tingle down your spine! (spot the electric bikes! great transport when nobody wants to drive). Wickerman goes up in flames At dusk a 30 foot high wickerman was ritually burnt, supposedly to burn away the sins of the village (funny how it needs to be bigger each year), then the dancing went on it to the night and guess what? Awards, Chatsworth, Derbyshire, Food and drink, Peak District, Tourism,An excellent evening was had by all last night at the Visit Peak District and Derbyshire Excel awards held at Chatsworth. The great and the good of the local tourism industry were celebrated in an Oscars style evening, including a three course meal with delicious local foods. I was particularly thrilled to receive the 'Outstanding Contribution to Tourism Award' . We need your help ! It’s nearly Easter and we have taken on two lovely kade lambs from a neighbouring farm. They are Mule sheep which can be seen in their hundreds around the Peak District and Derbyshire. The two girls, who are currently nameless, need an identity- let us have your suggestions for both girls. The current favourites are 'Tia and Maria'.
