The seasons come round so fast, it is hard to believe that it's already Ascension Day and time for the spectacular well dressings at Tissington. First week of the summer holidays is traditionally Wakes Week in Brassington. Originally Wakes Weeks were religious festivals commemorating church dedications, in this case St. James.
