This week it looks as though a large mole has been at work in the farm field next to the cabins, with mountains of dark earth piled high. But no - there is no mole, just David digging three large 100m long trenches for the ground source heating system for our cosy new log cabins. Felicity was a finalist at the Excel Awards last Thursday, held at the magnificent Chatsworth House (one of the 7 wonders of the Peak District). The Oscar style awards were organised by Visit Peak District and Derbyshire to celebrate the breadth of quality and excellence in the local tourism industry. Sevilla the stallion David and I are eagerly awaiting the release of the film, The Wolfman tomorrow; not because we are avid horror movie fans, but because we stabled Steve Dent's stunt and film horses at Hoe Grange Holidays during filming. We got to know Sevilla the stunning grey stallion, loved by all the leading ladies, and Jimi and Hendrix, the pair of carriage driving horses, and their 13 friends. Christmas, Farm, General, Group Holidays, Peak District, Snow, Tourism,Freddie the snowman New Year Cabin guests were surprised to wake up to a heavy snow fall this morning, they set about building a new friend 'Freddie' the 8 foot snowman. He peers over the fence from the paddock watching for a new guest to arrive. Their friend had unfortunately got stuck in the snow, so I had to go out on the tractor to find them. Fortunately they managed to get here in the end.
