After I had finished mowing the meadows the grass needed to wilt before Geof and his son came with their huge tractors and specialist equipment, including round baling machine and wrapper. Every week throughout the summer there are lots of lawns to mow here at Hoe Grange, as all of our self catering log cabins have their own garden area. David spends several hours mowing on a Friday, but this week swopped his usual little lawn mower for something slightly bigger as "one man went to mow, went to mow a meadow"! Our horses Oliver, Jessie and Robbie have all had a manicure and new shoes today. They have to have a new set of shoes every 6 to 8 weeks which cost nearly as much as mine! Oliver having his 'dinner plates' filed down by the farrier!
