Following requests from previous guests we have added to our range of accessible equipment with the purchase of an adjustable bed rail. The picture shows the rail on the electric profile bed in Hipley cabin, but it can be fitted to any of our single or double beds in any of the cabins and is available free of charge - just make sure you request it when making your self catering holiday booking. EZ adjustable bed rail The sturdy rail is adjustable in length up to 42", whilst fitted to the bed, and allows for use as both a bed rail to preven...
This week the team from JDB Groundworks have been preparing the car park for the new Rainster log cabin ready for Tarmac next week. As usual we have had some trials and tribulations due to the fact that we are on such a hilly site - wheelbarrowing cement up the steep hill is in itself a challenge, but especially with a squeeky wheel! Whilst sorting out the new car park we have also decided to widen the car park for Hipley to give better access for larger adapted vehicles and guests with wheelchairs. The sofas ar...

As you can see from the photos one end of the cabin is quite a height off the ground, so to keep the building as low as possible the cabin was placed on top of two blocks instead of the usual three. Michael, who was home from college and the skinniest person on site, was chosen to grovel underneath the ...
Such excitement! Our new self catering Rainster cabin has emerged from the Island Leisure factory in Perth and been loaded onto the low loader, ready for the long trek down the motorway to Derbyshire - so if you're on the M6 on Monday give it a wave as it passes by. It's amazing to think that the cabin is more or less complete with fitted kitchens, bathrooms, electrics, radiators etc, so that it will be almost ready to roll when it arrives. The team from Leisure Island will join the two halves together and connect the services and all ...
