Relaxation retreat in the Peak District

Relaxation retreat - girls just want to have fun!

Do you have a close-knit group of girlfriends that you haven’t seen in person for a while?? If so, why not book a relaxation retreat at Hoe Grange? With COVID-19 and the lockdown restrictions it has been a testing time for everyone being isolated and separated from friendship support. Planning a girlie weekend away, or group getaway will give everyone something exciting to look forward to.

We are here to help

Why not book a friends short break in the stunning Peak District countryside? Head for the hills armed with a boot-load of food and wine to enjoy a girlie weekend away and catch up on the gossip!

Our new post Covid relaxation retreat in a cosy log cabin with a hot tub on the decking is just the ticket. Quality time to reunite with trusted friends for some much-needed laughter and fun.

As a woman having female friends is incredibly important for your overall wellbeing and mental health. Don’t get me wrong – there are lots of men in my life who are amazing and supportive, but the stresses and strains of everyday life can be made that little bit easier when we have girlfriends to support us.

Hugging Day

Girls photo by Melissa AskewToday is Hugging Day #nationalhuggingday. To stay safe during Covid-19 lockdowns we haven’t been able to hug our nearest and dearest. Now more than ever it’s ok to be unhappy, or upset as we cope with the Coronavirus pandemic.

But hopefully soon we will be able to hug each other to show support and bring a little happiness back into our lives. Booking a girlie weekend away will give you something positive to look forward to, and hopefully by then you can hug away to your hearts content!

Friends forever – time out for you

Friends for everTrue girlfriends are like fine red wines: they get better with age. Did you know that recent research shows the average female friendship lasts 16 years, which is 6 years longer than the average romantic relationship? Once we turn 55, our friendships on average last 23 years!

Indeed I am still in touch with my 3 best friends from college and we meet up a couple of times a year and share our latest trials and tribulations, successes and disappointments. I very much value their opinions, encouragement, and support. I can be myself with them, but the best thing is that we always have a great laugh. Just look at our fab 80s hairstyles!!

Post Covid relaxation retreat

Our cosy log cabins with hot tubs on the decking are the perfect place to spend quality time with your girlfriends. A peaceful haven where you can unwind, enjoy exploring the stunning Peak District countryside before relaxing under the stars in the bubbling hot tub.

You may have struggled to maintain a healthy lifestyle during lockdown so our relaxation retreat is the perfect solution to set you back on track.

Staycation Itinerary

Arrive Friday 4pm

Toast marshmallows and catch up on the girlie gossip round the campfire, just bring your own wine or a bottle of fizz. Make the most of the dark skies, and relax in the hot tub under the stars - you will be guaranteed a good night’s sleep!

Saturday

Get your ipad or laptop out and exercise outside in the fresh country air - yoga, Pilates or perhaps a more energetic HIIT session.

Tuck into a healthy breakfast of Hoe Grange granola, local yoghurts and fresh orange juice. Time to chill out and chat.

After lunch explore the stunning Peak District countryside following our self-guided Hoe Grange Time Travellers Trail. Get the best views from the top of Minninglow, the Neolithic burial ground. Bring your binoculars to see what wildlife and birds you can spot.

Add a care and pamper package for just £60.

Sunday

There’s nothing better than lazing around in your PJs! Take Sunday morning nice and slow, and chill out with some mindfulness meditation, before making your own breakfast smoothies – fruit and Nutribullet provided for you.

Work up an appetite and yomp over the fields to Brassington for a delicious pub lunch.

Drive over to Tissington village for a little retail therapy and visit Annie’s On a Wick Candle Workshop and the vintage sweet shop.

Bring along a Who done it, Murder Mystery pack or get a board game out the cupboard to keep you entertained. Or if you're feeling creative, The Clay Rooms can deliver the tools, clay and step by step instructions to make a clay bird or pinch pot.

After much hilarity and laughter time for another soak in the hot tub!

Monday morning

Get up and go home refreshed, revitalised and recharged!

Special offer

If you book a relaxation retreat weekend staycation before 31st January we will include the Care and Pamper Package with Esther Marie, a fire pit experience complete with marshmallows, and two days' of yummy breakfast treats FREE of charge! Quote "funtimes" when booking.

Workshop with Make-up artist Esther Marie

We hope we have given you inspiration for some fun things you can do on a weekend staycation in the Peak District. Pinder log cabin sleeps 6 but you could always book more than one log cabin or a gorgeous glamping pod as well.
