A smiling Elliot "6 months later" We are delighted to report that our resident artist, Roger Allan, has had his watercolour painting of our son Elliot accepted for the Royal Watercolour Society's Contemporary Watercolour Exhibition at the Bankside Gallery in London, which runs from 24th February until 14th March 2012. You may remember this painting is a follow up to "Boy with the broken arm" which depicted a glum looking Elliot with his arm in a sling, in front of a Derbyshire winter landscape with a dead sheep in the background. This pond has a history of being home to a very large colony of Great Crested Newts. During the winter, while the newts are living away from the water, it is permitted to work on such p...
Even though we are in the week with the shortest days, today has seen our new photovoltaic solar system generate over 10 kwh units of electricity, it's best day yet! This may not sound a lot, but as they say 'every little helps'.... Roll on summer with 12 hours sunshine! David Tilting solar panels...
