This week David has been busy building an easy access ramp into the new Daisybank self catering log cabin, in preparation for our first guests and a photo shoot of our new facilities. Time for some major maintenance In between getting the new Daisybank cabin up and running and while things are fairly quiet we have taken the opportunity to install new french doors in Hipley cabin. It is quite an exposed spot here in the Derbyshire hills and the old doors were beginning to let the wind and rain in. The new doors are a much higher specification, with K glass with a higher thermal value and a sturdy, tight fitting wood frame. This will hopefully reduce energy consumption and heating costs. Daisybank heating pipes connected Work continues on the new Daisybank log cabin with the heating pipes being connected up to the ground source heating system, which now runs all four of our cosy cabins. There were a few minor hitches but everything seems to be running and the radiators are now warming up nicely even in this cold frosty spell here in the Derbyshire hills.
