We won another award!
Gold for Accessible & Inclusive Tourism
Following on from our success at the Peak District, Derbyshire & Derby Tourism Awards, we are so proud to share that we have won the Gold Award in the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism category at the 2024 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2024!

The winners were announced at a glamorous awards ceremony on 5 June at Rum Warehouse at The Titanic Hotel, Liverpool, and we were presented with our trophy by non other than Alex Polizzi of The Hotel Inspector! The awards champion the very best of England’s tourism industry celebrating quality, innovation, best practice and exceptional customer service.
We're no strangers to awards, but that doesn't make this any less special. Winning a national level VisitEngland award for the sixth time since we set up the business shows how we continue to push ourselves to improve your holiday experience.
As a small family business, we're particularly proud - we were competing against some bigger competitors in very different parts of the tourism industry!
Congratulations to Colchester Castle in Essex, who won bronze, and ROARR! Norfolk, who took the silver.

Thank you for your support
We had an absolute blast celebrating with our friends from VisitEngland, Visit Peak District & Derbyshire, and the world of accessible tourism at the awards ceremony, marvelling at spectacular acrobatic shows and dancing the night away.

But we also want to thank you - our supporters, our staff, our guests and our future guests! - for all your love, feedback and support on our journey.
Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Award
Accessibility and inclusivity is close to our hearts and always at the forefront of our minds.
We're on hand to help you have the very best holiday by listening to your needs - whether that's recommending the right mobility equipment for your needs from our extensive range, sharing insider knowledge on accessible local pubs, restaurants and attractions, or even making changes to our cabins (we once fitted a new door handle that was easier to use within an hour!)
We've also recently become the first UK holiday accommodation provider to be accredited as Dementia Inclusive by Sargent Group Consulting, and have been awarded an Autism Friendly Award by the National Autistic Society.

What do our guests think?
While it's nice to be recognised by industry experts, it's even more rewarding when our guests share why what we do matters. These two recent testimonials have really touched our hearts!
Henrietta
“My family and I have never holidayed in the same place more than once - but we’ve been coming to Hoe Grange, every year, at least once for 10 years! It’s a perfect holiday for me as a powered wheelchair user and an owner of an assistance dog. Hoe Grange was the second place I came to as a wheelchair user and one of the underrated things about it is it doesn’t 'feel disabled’. We’ve had the most wonderful holidays here and are looking forward to many more."

“The reason we return is your friendly and outstanding accommodation, which provides everything that we have at home – but it’s set in a beautiful, calm environment. This is key to us as parents and carers of disabled individuals, for time out and respite breaks.”
“Hoe Grange gives Paddy the space that he needs. He loves looking out of the window and seeing all the animals, and having a walk around the farm.”
David regularly shows Paddy the farm machinery and his vintage car, and Paddy enjoys collecting old cow ear tags.
"Hoe Grange does feel very safe to Paddy and his carers and myself. And I’ve never come across this before in my 30 years of caring. The service you provide is outstanding.”

A peaceful haven
Taking the leap of faith from milking cows into the world of hospitality 18 years ago was a little terrifying, but it's been an incredible journey, and we're so proud of what we've achieved. Our focus on guest experience, a warm welcome for all, and creating cherished memories continues to drive us forward.
Our passion for sharing our peaceful haven in the Peak District remains undiminished - we can't wait to welcome you. So what are you waiting for? Book your Peak District adventure today!
