Romantic escapes

Unwind with your loved one in the picturesque surroundings here at Hoe Grange Holidays. Stroll hand-in-hand through green fields and miles of off-road paths, relax with a couple’s massage in your cabin or pod, watch the sunset as you cosy up around a firepit, or soak under the twinkling stars in our traditional log-fired hot tub.

Adrenaline-raising adventures

There are plenty of adventurous outdoor activities in the area to get your pulse racing if that’s more your style. From paddleboarding at Carsington Reservoir to wild swimming in cool natural waters, there are lots of gorgeous lakes, reservoirs and rivers to explore. There are great walking and cycling routes, fantastic options for both beginner and advanced climbers, and you can even bring your own horse on holiday.

For queer-inclusive outdoor spaces and clubs, check out ClimbOut, the UK’s queer outdoor climbing festival in nearby Bakewell in May each year, Peak Queer Adventures, or Queer Out Here.

Family and friends

Nothing beats creating those special memories together with family and chosen family. Large group self-catering holiday accommodation isn’t always easy to find, but our little cluster of log cabins and glamping pods is the perfect place to celebrate in style.

There are plenty of kid-friendly activities on-site and in the area, and young and old alike can enjoy meeting the farm animals with Farmer David.

Queer events in Derbyshire and the Peak District

There are plenty of LGBTQ+ events to explore in Derbyshire, including Pride events with a lovely community feel like Buxton Pride Picnic, Derby Pride, and Pride in Belper. There’s even a Pride in Belper dog show, full of cute four-legged friends.

Hoe Grange is within walking distance of music festival Femme Fest too, and close to the ClimbOut queer climbing festival.

Dog-friendly holidays

No need to leave your canine companion behind when you go on holiday. With wonderful walks straight from the door, Hoe Grange is a slice of doggy heaven. We provide a special welcome pack too, with everything your pooch needs to feel at home.

And we’re not just dog-friendly – we welcome cats and other pets too, and you can even bring your horse on holiday.

Eco friendly holidays that don't cost the earth

At Hoe Grange, we’re passionate about protecting our wonderful environment, so you can book safe in the knowledge that your choice of holiday will leave a lighter carbon footprint. We generate our own renewable energy on-site and do everything we can to minimise our impact on the world. We even provide free electric vehicle charging for guests, so you can save pennies while you’re saving the planet.

Find out more about our efforts to protect and preserve the planet on our environment page.
