Browse through our blog posts to find out what life is like at Hoe Grange Holidays along with some great ideas for hobbies and days out in the Peak District.
Today 3rd December marks the 23rd UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities, with access and empowerment at the core of the celebrations, it’s apt that the day also marks just 100 days until Disabled Access Day 2016 on Saturday 12th March 2016.
To mark the occasion David has been busy installing the manual hoist by our new hot tub on Daisybank cabin decking. This will enable many of our less mobile guests to enjoy a relaxing dip in the soothing steamy water - it's such an amazing experience, especially as our Derbyshire countryside is so peaceful, and with dark skies you can truly see the beautiful stars twinkling above you.
Access is at the heart of our holiday business and so Hoe Grange Holidays will be joining in the fun and supporting Disabled Access Day in March. We welcome ideas from guests, staff and friends as to how best to celebrate the occasion here in the Peak District - watch this space as we have something brewing with Tourism For All UK !
In the meantime you can find out about the exciting events planned near you on the Disabled Access Day website ‘What’s On’ page, or follow them on Twitter or Facebook using #AccessDay. If you want to get involved in the day just register at 'get involved'. There's also some valuable advice for small businesses on providing a welcoming environment and practical steps to becoming more accessible.
In the meantime why not enjoy a winter weekend break from the stresses of the festive season and be the first to try out our new hoist? We promise you'll love it and have some short breaks available in Daisybank in the next 2 weeks before Christmas - call us now on 01629 540262!
