Hear, hear – new equipment

December 20, 2010 - Hear, hear – new equipment
-Older

Portable Hearing LoopAs part of our ongoing commitment to improving facilities for all guests we have just purchased a portable induction hearing loop which can easily be used in any of our self catering log cabins. A really useful piece of equipment if you have someone on holiday with you who is hard of hearing.

The easy-to-use rechargeable, portable loop system enables people with a hearing aid with a T setting, to hear conversations, music and sounds more clearly, without annoying background noises. It also allows hearing aid users to listen to television independently of the volume control on the television set. The volume control on the TV can therefore be turned down so that it does not disturb anyone else -  Simples!

There is a set of headphones so that guests without hearing aids can also benefit. I tried it out on David and nearly deafened him when I put the saucepans back in the kitchen cupboard!

Come and holiday in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside and try out our new hearing loop system for yourself - as with all our accessible equipment be sure to reserve at the time of booking your holiday to avoid disappointment.
