Accessible Holidays, Animals, Building, Farm, General, Peak District, Snow,The Peak District has certainly had its fair share of the early snow this year Anyone for Breakfast on the decking? Its bought our building plans to a grinding halt. We had to dig down to the road again this morning, through an average depth of about 20 inches of snow. It certainly makes looking after the animals more difficult, although the dogs seem to love it! Twix and Crunchie up to their neck in snow And as for our easy access cabins?? 4X4 only I'm afraid! Hopefully it won't last too long David...

Animals, Building, Farm, Free range hens, Peak District, Snow,Having a smashing time! Yesterday the contractors came back with a hugebreaker to split the two enormous rocks we unearthed so that they could be scooped out of the way, ready for David to concrete the foundations for the new Rainster log cabin - a very effective tool as you can see from the photo. With snow, blue skies and sunshine our holiday guests also had a smashing time in the snow sledging down the steep slopes leading up to the High Peak Trail. New gateway for third horse paddock With the new gateway completed, Sam has been rebuilding the dry stone wall, which is a real art and requires strength and a good eye for the ri...

It was also rated M2 for accessibility under the National Accessability Scheme. It has a superb wetroom shower only missing M3 because of the standard kitchen lay out. With it's extra little touches, such as log effect fire, LCD TVs, entrance porch, 100% cotton bedding and high standard throughout, it is truly a wonderful base for you Peak District holiday. Why not come and give it a try, but don't be to long as bookings are a...
Coming into land at Hoe Grange The weather over the last couple of days has been gorgeous with brilliant sunshine and blue skies, let's hope the Indian summer continues into September. Consequently we have see many hot air balloons overhead, both morning and evening, making the most of the ideal flying conditions. There was great excitement this morning as one landed in our big meadow by the side of the road, and we watched as they rapidly deflated it and packed it neatly away. The Peak District is a fabulous area for taking a ride in a hot a...
