From time to time we host bloggers and journalists who have a particular interest in our specialist accommodation, be it accessible, or sustainable accommodation, or horse holidays.
Vlogger Pippa recently stayed in one of our wheelchair accessible log cabins with her friend Izzy. Pippa writes and records about living with chronic illness and all the challenges that brings to her life.
Her honest, open and down to earth blogs and videos share her everyday life in an engaging way so others can begin to understand hidden disabilities and what that really means to those affected. As Pippa says "Not every disability is visible, but every person deserves to feel seen"
She loves writing about products and services that make a real difference to her life, so we were delighted to welcome her to stay at Hoe Grange.
This year Pippa was selected as one of the Disability Power 100 by The Shaw Trust celebrating the 100 most influential disabled people in the UK. The Shaw Trust aim to change the public perception of disability, by recognising strong, successful, influential people who are leaders in their field. The smile on people’s faces when they are out and about on our Boma 7 off-road wheelchair says it all. It brings independence, freedom and fun!
Pippa loved exploring the High Peak Trail on our Boma 7. She used the joystick version and announced it was the highlight of her year! For the first time in 7 years she was able to go for a walk for leisure together with her friend Izzy. “It’s difficult to fully capture just how much pure joy it brought me” You can read more about Pippa's stay at Hoe Grange by reading Life of Pippa's blog.
