Gypsy Caravan Holidays
Rose Hip our traditional Romany horse drawn caravan is brand new for 2018 despite being around 100 years old!
Completely renovated with a few modern comforts added this is truly a romantic break with a difference.
Our hearts ruled our heads when we recently bought a traditional gypsy caravan at a local farm sale! so we can offer guests another gorgeous glamping space as a romantic hideaway just for two.
Enjoy the rolling hills of the picturesque Peak District, whilst relaxing in your cosy caravan with stunning views over the farm fields. A peaceful place for a short break away from it all.
Situated in s secluded area of the farmyard with trees screening you from prying eyes, yet with unbroken views down the valley from the “open lock”style caravan. (Open lock refers to the caravan entrance which has a tent style canvas door which can be removed completely in a few seconds) You’ll love the view!
Take a peek inside
We have kept the exterior of our gypsy caravan a traditional deep burgundy red with highlights in bright contrasting colours, which looks amazing against the green canvas horse shoe shaped roof. Take a step through the zipped canvas door and inside the curved ceiling is covered in beautiful fabric with pretty roses.
Our vintage gypsy caravan is ideal for two adults. At the back is a comfy pull out double bed with warm duvet, throws and hot water bottles to keep you toastie. There are bench seats and cupboard space for your bits and bobs too. All mod cons are provided including, lighting, a charging point for your phone and WiFi.
There’s nothing quite like sitting round a firepit, watching the flickering flames and cooking your own meals. But don’t worry, if it’s wet and windy you can boil the kettle or use the microwave in the farmyard kitchenette.
Fabulous shower facilities
You’ll have all the advantages of an outdoor camping experience, but with the added luxury of a modern shower room with under floor heating just a short walk across the farmyard. There is a shaver point, mirrors and towels are provided.
It took us a while to renovate our traditional gypsy caravan, but it was definitely worth the wait – and we hope you’ll think so too!
But the best thing about it? You’ll have a scenic view of our working farm, which has been in our family for more than 60 years… not to mention, you’re right in the heart of the Peak District, where you can enjoy a range of outdoor activities when the sun is shining, or visit local attractions when the weather’s not quite so great.
