At Hoe Grange our cosy log cabins provide the ideal rural location for families to enjoy their holiday together in the Peak District
Sharing experiences is fun and our Peak District farm setting offers the perfect environment for young children and toddlers to let off steam and explore all that the Peak District countryside has to offer. Our self-catering log cabins are your home for the holiday and are ideal for families with young children. You have your own space and don’t have to fit in with restaurant meal times, or worry about disturbing other guests.
Do you have difficulty fitting everything you need for a family holiday into the car? If so we can help. We provide a selection of baby and toddler equipment for you to borrow free of charge - just let us know what you need.
Active kids are healthy kids... bring your wellies so you can follow our farm walk, pack a picnic and take your kite up the fields or scramble over the rocky outcrops. Younger children can play on our little tractor, help Farmer David feed the animals and have fun finding the answers to our farm quiz.
Bring the children’s bikes to cycle the easy going, traffic free High Peak and Tissington Trails, and to save hassle we have two adult mountain bikes you can borrow. Don’t worry if you haven’t got your own bikes, you can hire bicycles with child seats or trailers locally from Middleton Top, Parsley Hay, Hassop Station or Carsington Water.
Develop your map reading skills; take a family walk through Ilam Park, become a super spy and follow a local Treasure Trail or go Geocaching or orienteering. For the more adventurous, the Peak District offers great opportunities for rock climbing, abseiling and caving. Plenty of splash and splosh with water sports, such as canoeing, kayaking, fishing and sailing just 3 miles up the road at Carsington Water. Or a full day’s aqua fun there is Splash Landings at Alton Towers.
Sweet dreams - after a day in the fresh country air your little ones will fall happily into bed for a restful night’s sleep - all the bedrooms have blackout blinds, so parents may even get a lie in!
Come rain or shine there’s so much to do in the Peak District, so many experiences to share... memories that last a lifetime. Looking for inspiration? We know you want to find somewhere new and share something special. So, grab the kids and get ready for some fun packed, exciting days out.
We can’t guarantee the sunshine, but we can guarantee some family fun, even on a rainy day in the Peak District!
