Holiday with your family

Whatever the weather or time of year we want your family holiday to be more than just a change of scenery. As parents ourselves, we know that relaxed, happy children are the key to a successful family holiday. Sharing experiences is fun and the farm setting offers the perfect environment for young children and toddlers to let off steam and explore all that the Peak District countryside has to offer.

Our self-catering log cabins are your home for the holiday and are ideal for families with young children. You have your own space and don’t have to fit in with restaurant meal times, or worry about disturbing other guests.

Get Active

Active kids are healthy kids… bring your wellies so you can follow our farm walk, pack a picnic and take your kite up the fields or scramble over the rocky outcrops . Younger children can play on our little tractor, help farmer David feed the animals and have fun finding the answers to our farm quiz.

Bring the children’s bikes to cycle the easy going, traffic free High Peak and Tissington Trails, and to save hassle we have two adult mountain bikes you can borrow. Don’t worry if you haven’t got your own bikes, you can hire bicycles with child seats or trailers locally from Middleton Top, Parsley Hay, Hassop Station or Carsington Water.

Develop your map reading skills; take a family walk through Ilam Park, become a super spy and follow a local Treasure Trail or go Geocaching or orienteering.

For the more adventurous the Peak District offers great opportunities for rock climbing, abseiling and caving.

Plenty of splash and splosh with water sports, such as canoeing, kayaking, fishing and sailing just 3 miles up the road at Carsington Water. Or for a full day’s aqua fun there is Splash Landings at Alton Towers.

Sweet dreams – after a day in the fresh country air your little ones will fall happily into bed for a restful night’s sleep – all the bedrooms have blackout blinds, so parents may even get a lie in!

Fun for all the family!

Come rain or shine there’s so much to do in the Peak District, so many experiences to share… memories that last a lifetime.

Looking for inspiration? We know you want to find somewhere new and share something special. So, grab the kids and get ready for some fun packed, exciting days out.
