UK Riding Holidays
A UK riding
holiday means different things to different riders, depending
on ability and the type of riding they are interested in. There
are numerous disciplines within the equestrian world from eventing,
endurance, hunting, pony club, show jumping, jousting, dressage,
and showing to carriage driving. A riding holiday in uk can be
geared towards taking part in competitions or it can simply be
a relaxing break and a chance to get away from the bustle of
everyday life. Traveling by horse back is a wonderful way to
return to nature and rediscover the beauty of the outstanding
UK countryside.
Riding holiday together with your own special horse or pony
is a fantastic opportunity to discover new surroundings and build
on your relationship. Rather than leaving your best friend at
home why not bring your own horse or pony on holiday with you;
imagine gently hacking along miles of safe bridleways and stopping
off along the way for a relaxing picnic break.
Hoe
Grange Horse Holidays, situated on the edge of the Peak District
Derbyshire, offers a safe environment for you and your horse,
with fabulous off-road riding along the National Pennine Bridleway
through the gently rolling landscape of the White Peak. The terrain
along the High Peak Trail is varied and includes some hill work
to get your horse really fit and increase stamina. As well as
the interlinking bridleways, Hoe Grange Farm also has 250 acres
of undulating grassland for you to explore. You can amble through
the fields or those seeking more of a thrill can canter and gallop
and let your horse blow off steam.
Hoe Grange Holidays offers a riding holiday in uk with all
the facilities you would expect, including Bradmore stabling
for up to 6 horses, ample parking space for cars and horse boxes,
and a secure tack storage area. There is a large farmyard in
which to groom and tack up and plenty of grazing to keep your
horse happy after a long day's ride.
Hoe Grange Farm is an ideal self-catering holiday base from which
to explore the Derbyshire Dales on horseback. There are two luxurious
log cabins equipped to a very high standard, including full central
heating, double glazing, TV, DVD, stereo, and fully fitted kitchen,
with dishwasher, all new for the 2006 season. The ensuite shower
rooms are spacious and the luxury bathrooms have whirlpool baths
for you to soak those aching muscles after an active day in the
saddle.
If you want a real holiday why not leave the mundane chores
to us. Our full livery service includes mucking out in the morning,
skipping out during the day, daily turnout, fetching in and a
light groom. We will also feed your horse according to your exact
instructions if you so wish.
For the non-riding family members and friends there are plenty
of exciting outdoor activities to enjoy, such as cycling, walking,
sailing, canoeing, fishing, climbing and caving.
The Peak District has a wealth of things to do and see whilst
staying in your holiday cottage, from visiting stately homes,
experiencing historical working museums and Derbyshire traditions,
to trying out the latest exhilarating theme park rides. Something
to suit all ages and tastes.
