"Just had a fantastic week. I have never felt so relaxed at the end of a holiday.
Felicity and David are wonderful hosts and highlights, seeing the milking and calves and finding eggs will always be remembered fondly. All of the children have had a wonderful time...... seeing them happy made us happy! We still have so many things we want to do but could not fit in, we will definitely be back, hopefully year on year as the kids grow up".

The cabin is excellent and equipped with everything (including items I forgot!). Felicity, David and family have made us very welcome and we feel very much @ home and relaxed. We are sad to be heading home, but can't help feeling we're leaving home! There can be no higher praise - like others we will be back!

on, still very much to the fore of the childrens' minds. We all enjoyed our stay.
I attach a photo of the boys getting eco friendly - sorting the eco bins. Actually it was a good "shot in the arm" as the kids have brought the eco thoughts back with them and I am pleased to support their efforts here at home.

"We had he best 40th Birthday I could have wished for, such a peaceful and scenic place. Attention to detail is fantastic - we forgot to bring some toys for the children, but there were plenty here anyway! We will be coming back again in the summer.

"Blue sky and snow covered fields! An absolutely stunning weekend away from our far too busy lives! The cabin was gorgeous, and it was so nice not to have to pack the car with travel cot and high chair for our 1 year old, because like everything else it was provided!

We have really enjoyed our family weekend away – it was like home from home – we marveled at the superb accommodation and all the thoughtful touches that made our brief stay so comfortable.
The hot tub was a fun experience, especially as there was a light drizzle of rain which did not matter at all as we were luxuriating in the hot water. Drifter the chocolate Labrador came to see what we were up to! Thanks for a lovely time.

"What a great week! It's really flown by and I could readily stay for longer. We (young family of 5) bought our bikes and enjoyed cycling the High Peak and Tissington Trails and walking.
The children loved staying on a farm and playing with Twix and Wispa, and loved the whirlpool bath too! If the children are happy then we are happy and having all our little needs attended to so generously made such a difference. Everything has been so easy from the minute we arrived.

The cabin is beautiful,
the veranda is a lovely place to sit of an evening with a glass
of wine and admire the views, and drink in the peace and tranquillity.
To be able to arrive at self-catering accommodation and not have
to think about anything except what to wear and when/where to
eat was fantastic. You appeared to have thought of everything
to make us feel comfortable from the minute we arrived to the
minute we left.
Thank you David, Felicity and family for making us feel so welcome.
We have already recommended you to friends who want to visit
the Peak District and we will continue to do so. We look forward
to staying again in the future.

Really Awesome! Home from home in beautiful setting. Excellent
for the kids, particularly the close proximity to the moos and
neighs!!! A great place to get the full farmyard experience without
getting up at the crack of dawn. The Hull visitors will definitely
be back, the South Africans will dream of returning one day!

Some people just don't know how to relax - this group of mountain
bikers cycled several 30 and 40K routes straight from the doorstep!
Many thanks for great facilities - we go mountain biking every
year and this is the BEST accommodation we have stayed in. Thanks
for the lift in to Ashbourne on Saturday night.

Thanks for a lovely weekend. The hot tub was a great "extra". A very relaxing time and it was fantastic to find somewhere that catered for 12 of us - in particular having both dining tables in on cabin meant we had lovely evening meals with everyone together.

to celebrate Trevor's 40th birthday and planned on sleeping in,
hiking, eating out and relaxing. All of which were done while
staying at your lovely, very well equipped and gorgeous location.
Your recommendations of restaurants was bang on, absolutely
wonderful and we can't say enough of your thoughtfulness in arranging
a great birthday evening at Carriages. Brilliant!
We would have stolen Twixie, your gorgeous choc lab pup, but
figured her puppies will be adorable next time we come!

we could ask for and better. We've stayed in lots of cottages
in the countryside before, but none as pleasurable as this one.

 "To go on holiday
as an adult with my own horse and some likeminded friends has
been my ambition for many years. So I am delighted to report
that our recent holiday at Hoe Grange has exceeded all our expectations.
We received a warm, friendly welcome from Felicity and David
and our horses settled in as though they had lived there forever.
The self-catering cabins were clean, wonderfully well appointed
and furnished to a high standard. The whirlpool bath was big
enough to get lost in, and a very welcome sight after a hard
days riding.
And as for the riding? Well if you enjoy full days in the
saddle with miles of off-road riding then this is the holiday
for you. Directly from Hoe Grange is access to safe, countryside
routes of between two and three hours with no roadwork involved.
For the more ambitious rider there are longer circular routes
of between six and seven hours, which do involve some short sections
of road work, but provide access to stunning countryside and
yet more safe, off-road riding.

the horses was great and they seem to have been very happy. We

Perfectly situated for a riding holiday. Hosts were very friendly and approachable - you always felt nothing was too much trouble. Horse facilities excellent and choice of rides varied from a couple of hours to all day. The cabin was clean, comfortable and very well equipped.
On sunny afternoons we took full advantage of sitting with a brew on the verandah watching the horses chill in the paddock. Would definitely recommend Hoe Grange to friends.

Savannah enjoyed her 4th birthday and felt so at home she awoke
in the middle of the night and pleaded to stay at the farm!
Our horses Zak and Hammish settled really quickly and we enjoyed
some lovely hacks along the trail. Thank you to Felicity for
taking us out too! The staff at Middleton Top were very friendly
and the horses were happy to be tied to a tree whilst we enjoyed
a nice hot drink. We are already talking about when we can return!

Thanks for providing an excellent base for a family holiday and for being such good hosts. Facilities are fantastic a real “home from home”. Hot tub is a must – a real treat even when it’s -7° or was that the excellent mulled wine! Horses loved their stables and settled straight away. Riding and cycling second to none – a good time had by all – will be back.

What a fantastic location. Cabin has everything you need - perfect for power wheelchair user. Coming from very flat Essex the Peak District has some of the best scenery in Britain! Bakewell was our best visit.
